The Writer's Retreat
|
Join me in the charming town of Poulsbo, Wash. for a writer's retreat weekend. You will enjoy the lovely surroundings, get inspired with fellow writers, gain new knowledge and leave with practical skills to jumpstart and improve your writing. Unlike other retreats, you will have a two-day pass to a professional book editor who will guide you through the editing process to help you get published.
If you are ready for high-level writing instruction, advice and tips from a professional editor from NYC, and you're serious about improving your writing, join me in this small group setting. You will leave refreshed, with new friends and new resources. Come join me and fellow writers this summer! |
Gamble Creek Studio is 10 minutes from the Kingston ferry and 25 minutes from the Bainbridge ferry. The actual address is 23435 Port Gamble Rd. NE, Poulsbo, WA.
The Town of Poulsbo boasts wine tasting rooms, local wineries, an authentic tapas bar and bistro, and the famous Sluy's Bakery. Many businesses and restaurants are open late on summer weekend evenings. Bring your spouse, partner or friend and make it a weekend retreat for the both of you.

I will help you address the following questions:
- How do I know when I am ready to hire an editor?
- What's the difference between copy editing and proofreading?
- Should I invest in a Manuscript Overview?
- What is a Developmental Edit?
- What does a good editor charge? (per word? per page?)
- What are the most common writing errors (and how can I avoid them)?
